The worst thing I've ever seen was a lvl14 Mo/R with Read The Wind, Barrage, Troll Unguent, Healing Breeze and a lvl12 Melandru's Stalker.

I decided to give American RA districts a try.
You can see the difference right away, it's pretty funny.
The best was this Warrior with a hammer, who would say:
<-- Naked Mending Warrior
He wasn't wearing any gear except for a hammer, puts up Mending and rushes into the group and dies in a few hits. Bumped into him a few times consecutively.
Is this what Guild Wars has come to? Let's try to annoy my teammates.

This one time when I was playing some random arenas just for the hell of it and to kill some time. I usually played a backbreaker sin because I think it requires alot of skill and I pretty much perfected the use of that build. This time however I decided to play a ranger. For some time I pondered about what kind of a build to play and after some thinking I decided to play a "turret" ranger. I had heard from a reliable person that the "turret" build required quite a bit of skill to play but once you get it you'll be godlike in random arenas playing it. So I go to pvxwiki and find the build, load it up and make myself some bows and other equipment. "Off to kill people I go", I thought as I hit enter battle.
So the first team I get into consists of two warriors (one axe and one hammer), a healing ritualist and myself. "Well at least I got a decent team setup", I thought to myself and as the counter was nearing zero I wished everyone good luck and have fun in all chat. The match got off to a pretty stale start, our opposing team consisted of an air elementalist (Blinding Surge if I recall correctly), your average Word of Healing monk with warrior stances, a healing ritualist similar to the one on my team and lastly a Visions of Regret domination mesmer. As I said the game was rather stale in the beginning, our opponents having strong defenses against us with two healing characters and an elementalist with the ability to keep our warriors blind for most of the game (our healer was lacking in condition removal). After some time I managed to get a distracting shot to hit the elementalist's blinding surge but at this point one of our warriors was dead permanently as he had been killed three times by visions of regret when he was in frenzy. With blinding surge disabled we managed to get a kill on the ritualist but not a moment too soon, blinding surge was back in the game now. The ritualist got promptly resurrected and the game continued.
After both teams scoring no kills in about two minutes our warrior said "pz out" and left the game. The healing ritualist followed closely after and I was left alone against 4 enemies. This game was played on the Kryta-map and I was standing on the bridge. Just as the ritualist left I could see the mesmer and elementalist starting to cast their spells on me, I fired away a savage shot interrupting the mesmer's Visions of regret and then I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought, "Nah, forget it. "Yo, holmes to Bel-Air!", I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes smell ya later!". Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.

Hmmm... deceptive. So, his final attributes are probably 12 Scythe, 14 Energy Storage, 12 Earth, 12 Air, 12 Water, 12 Fire.
In addition, he's presumably wielding an Icy Scythe of Enchanting and he's wearing Prismatic insignias for a final 80AL and 25 points of damage reduction. AoR is his cover enchant and makes a versatile healing combo with glyph.
Offense wise, he's got a +17 damage conjure frost, 18s nearby-pbaoe hex snare on a 12s recharge, and two 82 point armour-ignoring pbaoes. On the down side there's no IAS to make it really motor and no KD/interrupt, but the snare is pretty tasty. No rez sig - clearly a positive thinker.
Overall it's not terrible and definitely not stupid, it's actually kind of cute really. I doubt it would thrive in RA, but it would do reasonably ok... maybe worth trying for an evening's cheap thrills, because you're bound to humiliate somebody!

The whole point of Bel airing it is to write an interesting story and then deny them the ending with Bel Air.
Interesting stuff I've seen lately in RA would probably be the huge amount of Ele's using conjures for melee weapons. I've asked all of them why they do it and they usually say "Because it looks cool". Also the RA trolls are getting pretty funny lately. Some dude arguing how rangers never required secondarys and that flail was a terrible stance (before the nerf).

No it is. It is an attempt to attack and also cast which do not mix well. Eighty armor and 25 damage reduction work great against all of the degen and curses/dom damage going around in RA, especially when a rend (which is more common than you would think) drops you back to AL 60.
The +17 conjure is okay I guess, but won't make up for the lack of any attack skills and will end up with far less damage and much less burst damage than any standard melee.
And no rez sig.
This build does look "cute" but it is outright awful.

That's my beef with the dervish style in general too, mainly the enchanting up and vulnerability to rends etc that make it a recipe for disaster in RA.

Anyone dependant on an enchant stack is riding their luck against rend, but all that other stuff is par for the course in RA.
If they pop their glyph of restoration and have the aura up and unload the two pbaoe's on the bar there, they get 100+57+72 health back for each (229 total) - actually forcing anything through glyph of restoration is pretty decent for a self heal. With sensible playing, it'll have decent robustness - but it does have serious vulnerabilities, sure. No block/blind/disruption and melee range would surely make it vulnerable to a basic palm striker or melandru's.

Don't forget the nearby pbaoe 50% snare - that's probably the best thing on the bar for assisting your team. The 2 armour-ignoring pbaoe's are pretty bad, but the lack of attack skills is understandable given they would end MoM. No IAS wastes the conjure a bit too. A standard melee would be better, but "standard" is generally high quality and this is sort of in the middle imo, flawed yet has some interesting potential against the right opponents.

I still think it's an "in the middle" build - I've seen stuff leagues worse than this, and it's an interesting use of MoM so I'll give it a bit of credit. Just look at this:

Dervishes play like point blank casters (3,2,1 spike is their only option), such that stopping to cast doesn't hurt them as much. Then again most derv enchantments that are used are the endless watchful, the only every 45 seconds conjure, or 1/4 casts. Of course this plays like a derv with only auto attacks.
That is glyph of energy not resto. The PBAoE is completely out of place in this build, why use that when you can attack. Even if it was resto using 3 slots for a 229 heal is worse than healing breeze on a whammo.
The snare is worthless outside of defensive snaring. With no speed boost and no KD simple clicking to move will prevent the snare from ever landing.
I've seen a ton of builds in RA that had tons of thought put into them, you could see where and how the skills were supposed to work together, yet the resulting build was absolutely terrible. This is another one.
Mo/E with fire is normally bad (though there was a while when it was part of the tombs meta), but just one skill doesn't really mean anything. Oftentimes I'll end up with a free slot on a monk bar and I'll bring something completely off the wall. Though I do have no doubt that particular monk proceeded to flare spam, either you are jumping to all of the wrong conclusions about what constitutes 'stupidest' or you just have not been in RA much at all.

Flare spamming warrior. Funny thing is he also had stone daggers, and ice spear. He used a wand and a focus. His bar was something like this:
[flare][stone daggers][ice spear][frenzy][healing signet][watch yourself][meteor shower] and something else... maybe [aura of restoration]
